Subscription Details
When will I receive my kit?
We ship all subscription boxes on the 1st of every month, you should receive your kit in 2-3 days!
How many people can my kit feed?
Each A' La Carte kit comes with ingredients for 3 recipes suitable to feed 2 people.
Can I customize portion size of my kits?
We cannot accommodate custom boxes at this time, but we can promise to deliver quality ingredients and interesting recipes. If your family requires bigger portion sizes, we also offer all of our kits as a one-time purchase a' la carte.

Are A' La Carte ingredients organic?
We believe every young chef should be able to cook with confidence! We focus on providing allergen-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options that are full of fresh, organic ingredients .HERE, you'll find details on what’s in (and not in) our recipe kits.
Does my kit come with everything I need?
We equip our Science Chefs with all the essentials to make their Kitchen Lab come to life! When you purchase a kit, you will receive an Intro Box with some cooking essentials. Your recipe kits come with all of the pre-portioned ingredients needed to make all the recipes in your box. Kits will also include a cooking utensil so your chef can keep building their tool set.
Shipping & Delivery
How do you ship my ingredients to make sure they arrive in good condition?
All of our kits ship in less than 2 days via FedEx, packaged in food-safe, insulated boxes that keep your ingredients fresh by retaining cool air from the ice packs. We ship them the same day they’re packed to ensure they arrive at your door within two days, no matter where you are in the USA.
Where do you ship?
We ship the one-time kits and subscription boxes to the continental United States. We cannot ship to Alaska or Hawaii at this time. We hope to one day expand so everyone can be a part of putting #ScienceOnTheMenu!
Where do you ship from?
All of our packed ingredients are shipped from a small, FDA-registered food kitchen in Ojai, California. Our facility operates under Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and follows Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls (HARPC), as outlined in the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) to ensure product quality and safety.

How much is shipping?
We like to keep it simple: ALL of our products at A' La Carte include free shipping. No hidden fees, no surprises, just garden goodness delivered straight to your door!
I just ordered my kit, when can I expect it to ship?
Great question! We ship your kits every Tuesday. For example, if you order your plants on a Wednesday, expect them to ship in 6 days on the following Tuesday. Our plants always are shipped with 2-day FedEx shipping. If you are concerned that you will be out of town for your kit delivery, please email our team immediately atinfo@alacartecookingclass.com.

Digital Products (Curriculum Access & Subscriptions)
All sales of digital curriculum and subscriptions are final. If you're experiencing technical difficulties accessing your content, please contact us at info@alacartecookingclass.com and we’ll work to resolve the issue promptly.
Physical Products (Ingredient Kits & Supplies)
Ingredient Kits (Food Items)
Due to food safety regulations, ingredient kits are non-returnable. If your kit arrives damaged, spoiled, or missing items, you must contact us within 24 hours of delivery to be eligible for a replacement or refund.
To qualify:
- Food items must have been opened within 24 hours of delivery.
- You must provide photo evidence showing the condition of the item and the packaging it arrived in.
- We do not offer refunds or replacements for kits opened after this 24-hour window, or for kits that were improperly stored after delivery.
Non-Food Supplies (Tools, Printed Materials)
Unused non-food items may be eligible for return. You must notify us within 14 days of delivery. Items must be returned in original packaging and unused. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error.
Cancellations
Subscription renewals may be canceled anytime before your next billing date. Cancellations apply to future orders only; we do not offer refunds for orders already processed or shipped.
